Let’s focus on pursuing opportunities that truly align with your interests and skills.
Because job searching is hard enough as it is. I teach a values-driven job search philosophy that imagines the possibilities when you identify your values and focus on what you actually want from your next job.
You’ll learn to make conscious tradeoffs and focus your limited energy on the most values-aligned opportunities available. It’s not faster, nor is it less work. You won’t find a shortcut out of capitalism here.
But it’s less soul-crushing to feel like you’re jobseeking on your terms and working toward your career goals.
This is for you if you want to approach your job search without cosplaying as someone else entirely. I developed many of the exercises I use through coaching jobseekers who were transitioning careers or industries.
While I’m currently not taking 1:1 clients, my self-guided workbook is coming soon! It will contain all my 1:1 coaching materials and exercises.
Support from someone who’s been on both sides of the hiring process.
I’m Krista Lane, your Job Search Coach. After several experiences of burnout, one (almost two!) of which led to me transitioning to a new career, I developed a values-driven job search philosophy that helps you find a new career on your terms.
My day-job background has had two main career arcs: the first in stage and program management in the nonprofit performing arts, and the second in technical recruiting and HR in the tech industry. Having been on both sides of hiring in several fields, I can empathize with career-seekers of varied lived experiences.
Make the hiring game work for you.
Some things about hiring have certainly changed a lot since the pandemic (I—and the rest of my team—was laid off from my last corporate recruiting role in March 2020), yet the more I talk to both candidates and employers from my consultant’s chair, the more I learn that plenty about the experience of jobseeking is the same—patterns that ebb and flow from quarter to quarter.
Past clients have reported seeing their job search in a whole new light with an approach that makes the game work for them.
Confidently find and pursue great opportunities.
There are a lot of options (and plenty of scams) when it comes to helping with your job search, so it’s important to know what you want—whether from a coach or in your next job. I won’t be rewriting your resume or LinkedIn profile, or sending you job listings, or telling you what to do.
But I’ll help you learn what you’re looking for, share insights from my professional and personal experiences, and guide you toward choices that align with your goals.
The self guided workbook for job seekers will contain:
what might be going on on the other side,
curated links to relevant resources,
advice on writing your resume/LinkedIn profile from a former recruiter’s perspective,
guidance for better communication with hiring teams in and between interviews, and
techniques for developing effective negotiation strategies for your context.
